But such a formula, though it truly represented one side of their situation, can never represent the whole of any human situation. For God is also a Being whom it ill suits any of us to find but from whom we cannot escape. Part of the reason why men cannot find God is that there is that in Him which they do not desire to find, so that the God whom they are seeking and cannot find is not the God who truly is. Perhaps we could not fail to find God, if it were really God whom we were seeking. And indeed the deepest reality of the situation is that contained in the discovery, which alone is likely at last to resolve our perplexity, that when we were so distressfully seeking that which was not really God, the true God had already found us, though at first we did not know that it was He by whom we had been found. There is a saying, "Be careful what you seek; you might find it." And some who have sought God only as a complacent ally of their own ambitions have found Him a consuming fire.

Positive anything is better than negative nothing.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/59166

Positive anything is better than negative nothing.

Fight till the last gasp.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/4835

Fight till the last gasp.

Extreme hopes are born from extreme misery.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/14788

Extreme hopes are born from extreme misery.

Today's opportunities erase yesterday's failures.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/62501

Today's opportunities erase yesterday's failures.

Conservatism is the blind and fear-filled worship of dead radicals

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/9856

Conservatism is the blind and fear-filled worship of dead radicals

A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/62808

A person with a new idea is a crank until the idea succeeds.

Students now arrive at the university ignorant and cynical about our political heritage, lacking the wherewithal to be either inspired ...

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/58012

Students now arrive at the university ignorant and cynical about our political heritage, lacking the wherewithal to be either inspired by it or seriously critical of it

What shall we then say to these things? We modern pagans have to choose between that divine order, and the grey, dead, irresponsible, chaotic universe of atheism. And the tragedy is that we may make that choice without knowing it -- not by clear conviction but by vague drifting, by losing interest in Him. A nominal deist will say: "Yes, of course there must be some sort of Force that created the galaxy. But it's childish to imagine that It has any personal relation to me!" In that belief atheism exists as an undiagnosed disease. The man who says, "One God," and does not care, is an atheist in his heart. The man who speaks of God and will not recognize him in the burning bush -- that man is an atheist, though he speak with the tongues of men or angels, and appear in his pew every Sunday, and make large contributions to the church.

The table robbes more then a thiefe.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/49918

The table robbes more then a thiefe.

We are now challenging the best in the segment with a very special car.
