In my view, that means to speak on the one hand metaphysically, and on the other individualistically. Neither of these is relevant to the Bible message or to the man of today. Is it not true to say that individualistic concern for personal salvation has almost completely left us all? Are we not really under the impression that there are more important things than bothering about such a matter? (Perhaps not more important than the matter itself, but more than bothering about it). I know it sounds pretty monstrous to say that. But is it not, at bottom, even Biblical?... It is not with the next world that we are concerned, but with this world as created and preserved and set subject to laws and atoned for and made new. What is above the world is, in the Gospel, intended to exist for this world -- I mean that not in the anthropocentric sense of liberal, pietistic, ethical theology, but in the Bible sense of the creation and of the incarnation, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Listen to the Water-Mill: Through the live-long day How the clicking of its wheel Wears the hours ...

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/45671

Listen to the Water-Mill: Through the live-long day How the clicking of its wheel Wears the hours away! Languidly the Autumn wind Stirs the forest leaves, From the field the reapers sing Binding up their sheaves: And a proverb haunts my mind As a spell is cast, "The mill cannot grind With the water that is past."

Batting for Vivian Richards is a matter of strokes, more strokes, and even more strokes.

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/38677

Batting for Vivian Richards is a matter of strokes, more strokes, and even more strokes.

The hardest part about being friends, is loving you so much

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/16736

The hardest part about being friends, is loving you so much

She has a housewife's hand; but that's no matter: I say she never did invent this letter; This is ...

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/23009

She has a housewife's hand; but that's no matter: I say she never did invent this letter; This is a man's invention and his hand.

We fluctuate long between love and hatred before we can arrive at tranquillity

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/59561

We fluctuate long between love and hatred before we can arrive at tranquillity

In the highly competitive consumer electronics industry, and particularly the rising digital television market, it is critical for a company ...

http://maxioms.com/maxiom/42640

In the highly competitive consumer electronics industry, and particularly the rising digital television market, it is critical for a company to get product to market quickly.
